Services

More than aerial photography.

Every engagement starts with the decision you need to make or the audience you need to reach — then works back to the views, records and files that support it.

Commercial applications

Practical aerial views for people who manage sites, buildings and projects

Aerial imagery is most valuable when it answers a real operational question — what changed, what it looks like, where things are.

  • Document construction milestones

A dated record at each key stage, from site prep to completion.

  • Compare progress across visits

Matching viewpoints make change visible at a glance.

  • Create visual project records

Organized image sets that live in your project files, not someone's phone.

  • Show commercial properties in full

Roofs, parking, access and multiple buildings in one view.

  • Market real estate and land

Setting, access and acreage that ground photos can't convey.

  • Produce aerial marketing content

Distinctive stills and footage of your own facilities and projects.

  • Inspect roofs and hard-to-reach assets

Close-up drone inspections that flag visible issues without ladders or lifts.

Recurring commercial services

Ongoing Project Documentation

For projects that change week to week, one-off photos aren't enough. Recurring visits build a consistent visual history of the site — useful for owner updates, coordination meetings, lender draws and closeout.

Built for construction firms, property managers, developers and owners' representatives.

  1. 1

    Agree the viewpoints once

Capture positions, heights and headings are set on the first visit and reused every time, so sets line up for comparison.

  2. 2

Set a schedule that fits the work

Weekly, biweekly, monthly or milestone-based — adjustable as the project schedule moves.

  3. 3

    Receive an organized record

Each visit arrives dated and named the same way, ready for owner reports, lender draws and project files.

How it works

From request to deliverables in four steps

  1. 01

    Submit project details

Tell us the location, what you need captured, your timeframe and how the results will be used.

  2. 02

    Receive a scope and quote

You get a written scope listing views, deliverables, schedule assumptions and price — before anything is booked.

  3. 03

    Confirm schedule and flight feasibility

Airspace, permissions, site access, weather and on-site conditions are reviewed and a flight window is set.

  4. 04

    Receive the agreed deliverables

Edited, organized files are delivered to the structure agreed in your scope.

Every flight depends on airspace, property-owner and site permissions, weather, site conditions and the regulations that apply at the time. If a flight can't be completed safely and legally, it won't be attempted — and you'll know before the visit.

Working with SiouxSky

Built to be a dependable vendor, not a one-off flight

  • A written scope before any flight

Views, deliverables, schedule assumptions and price are agreed in writing first.

  • Honest limits

If a request needs surveying, engineering, thermal or a certified inspection, you'll be told it's outside the service — not sold a lookalike.

  • Feasibility checked up front

Airspace, permissions, site access and conditions are reviewed before a date is set.

  • Deliverables you can use

Files are dated, named and organized the way your team works, so they go straight into your records.

FAQ

Questions businesses ask before booking

Straight answers about availability, pricing, scheduling and what aerial documentation can and can't do.

Where do you provide drone services?

SiouxSky serves Sioux Falls, Lennox and southeastern South Dakota, and takes on projects elsewhere in South Dakota when travel and flight conditions allow. Share your location in the quote request and you'll get a clear answer.

How much does a drone project cost?

Pricing depends on the site, the number of views or visits, editing, travel and deliverables. Every project receives a written quote before any work is scheduled, so you know the cost up front.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is factored into each quote based on the project location. Any travel charge is shown in the quote before you approve it, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

How far in advance should I schedule?

Earlier is better, especially for time-sensitive milestones, listings and events. Send the date or timeframe you need and the quote will confirm availability.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Wind, precipitation, low visibility and temperature all affect whether a flight is safe and whether the results will be good. If conditions aren't suitable, the flight is rescheduled to the next workable window agreed with you.

What file formats will I receive?

Formats are agreed in your quote. Typically, still images are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs with web-ready versions, and video as MP4 files in the aspect ratios you need, by download link.

How does construction progress documentation work?

Capture positions and headings are set at the first visit and repeated every time after, so each set can be compared with the last. Visits can be milestone-based or on a weekly, biweekly or monthly schedule, and every set is delivered dated and consistently named.

Do you do drone inspections?

Yes — visual drone inspections of roofs, commercial property, farm structures and other commercial assets, with annotated photos and a written summary of visible issues. They are not certified, engineering or code inspections, so anything that drives a repair or insurance decision should be confirmed by a qualified contractor, engineer or adjuster.

Are there restrictions on drones at weddings and events?

Yes. FAA rules limit flying over people who aren't part of the operation, many venues have their own drone policies, and some locations are in restricted airspace. Aerial moments are planned around guests and the timeline, and venue and airspace are checked before booking.

Can you fly anywhere?

No. Airspace near airports, temporary flight restrictions, property-owner permission and local rules all apply. Every request goes through a feasibility review, and if a flight can't be done safely and legally, you'll be told before you're quoted.

How long until I receive my images or video?

Turnaround depends on the amount of editing and the deliverables involved. Your quote states the expected delivery timeline for your project.

Do you offer recurring contracts?

Yes — recurring documentation for construction projects and property portfolios can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, monthly or by milestone, with consistent viewpoints and agreed deliverables for every visit. Request a recurring-work quote to set up a schedule.
